“Like, wouldn’t it be amazing if an artist could book a studio where the team has the knowledge on how to support them with pre-production, creative development and how to release and market their music or film so they might actually get something back from it?” James said.
Severnview Studio’s team has that knowledge and experience and so these three founders decided to open a recording studio that could offer much more than audio production.
OUR WHY
We three founders’ all knew that turning a private space into a commercial one was going to be no mean feat. So many artists can record, mix and master their own productions anywhere in the world - including their own bedrooms.
And you know what - they can get some pretty decent results!
What we realised was that wherever artists produce their material, even if they went to a recording studio, there’s very little support for the artist after their studio sessions.
We knew we needed to offer something more - a lot of artists say that they just don’t know what to do with their music or films after they’ve been to a studio.

In 2024 we launched our blog - it is designed to be a treasure chest of valuable, helpful information that artists can draw on to further their career. Very little of what we do is about “us” - it’s about our artists.
EVENTS
We have a huge passion for live music as well as studio recording. Our space is ideal for intimate, invite only gigs. Perfect for staging showcases for all those music industry professionals we can help you make contact with.
WORKSHOPS
Towards the end of 2024 we will be hosting workshops, run by some of the top professionals in the industry, across a wide range of topics. These workshops are designed to help artists hone their skills, while developing their own network of peers and professionals.
MENTORING
Our Artist Development Programme is already paying dividends for the artists who have signed up. Later in 2024, we will be offering individual modules of the ADP, for artists who want to focus their efforts in one particular direction. Modules like “Music Marketing”, “Release Management” and “Stage Performance” will all be available as individual programmes, so you can master your craft by filling in the gaps.
